High school educator rocks out at a metal gig in Austin.

A sign language translator stole that show at a heavy metal show by her intense signing for deaf metal fans, ABC News states.

At a June 20 metal concert in Austin, Texas, Lindsay Rothschild-Cross' performance was captured on video and has racked up many views online.

She told ABC's 'Good Morning America' that she is brand-new to the style.

  • "I grew up amidst Guns N' Roses, and Alice in Chains and Iron Maiden and stuff like this," Rothschild-Cross recounted .
  • "I've never really interpreted for death metal though. This is the first chance."

The sign language educator said that she studies the artists before a performance.

She tries to express the emotion behind the songs, not only the lyrics themselves, she said.
