Meet the coolest 83-year-old in the world | John Hetlinger

After a long and serious career as a pilot in the US Army and as a NASA employee, the wonderful man John Hetlinger set out to do what he loves most: karaoke to metal songs. The network was enthusiastic and naturally shared, and we couldn't ignore either.

John Hetlinger was a pilot in the U.S. Army and even worked for NASA, but at the age of 82 he became famous for completely different reasons - a video of him performing the metal song "Bodies" by the band Drowning Pool went viral and collected over a million views in one day.

The video was generally shot in 2014, but came back into circulation and was a success after being posted on a major Facebook page of metal lovers.

This video is ripping and charming thanks to the gap between the retired look of the older man with his black shorts and what looks like a parrot on his polo shirt pocket, and the hard singing and excited singing. He auditioned for "America's Got Talent" with the same song, in another powerful performance.

When Simon Cowell asked him why it had taken him so long to get on stage, he explained that he only started karaoke after he retired.

Karnivool Roquefort Live

Karnivool Roquefort LYRICS Step in this room where I wanna be Surely you mean this something You're bringing me down to a silent breath when it's the truth that I wanna see Search myself for the reason The ever loving greed I am put off slighty So what am I to see.. oh my love In the sensory serenity So pull the pin inside Baby let it ride Never knowin' I'm the next to see With the fire sign Never make it mine Never knowin' I'm the next to be I am learning slowly So what am I to see Every twist and turning Through my hypocrisy It's so good to see This world is alive It's so good to see This world is a lie Like a knot it binds, suffocating minds Never knowing, I'm in the next to see With the fire sign Never make it mine Never knowin' I'm the next to bleed I am learning slowly So what am I to see Every twist and turning Through my hypocrisy Search myself for the reason Forever loving greed I am bored of silence So what am I to see?...
